Our nation's federal system of government can be clearly
seen in the Village of Malta. The residents of Malta receive their governmental
services through the cooperation and coordination of different levels of
government.
The Village Government for Malta develops and administers ordinances to govern the day-to-day life for its residents. In addition, the village government manages the water and sewer services for Malta.
Residents of Malta also receive services from other governmental entities as well. The village receives fire service from a department that serves both Malta and McConnelsville. The M & M Fire Department is located at 77 S. 4th Street in McConnelsville. In addition, the residents of Malta receive police protection and service from the Morgan County Sheriffs Department. This office is located at the Morgan County Court House at 37 E. Main Street in McConnelsville.
